Unlike a basic massage an Aromatherapy Massage has an alternative therapeutic technique. With the use of delicious smelling, natural and 100% pure essential oils your skin will be massaged and pampered. I offer a range of essential oils either extracted from flowers, herbs, plants or fruits, not only will they be absorbed through the skin during and after the massage but you will also benefit from the inhalation of the oil during the treatment. Each essential oil has different healing qualities, whilst some will calm, others will energise, we will discuss your personal requirements before the treatment.
The massage will be tailored to your individual requirements. As you lay relaxed and calm your chosen essential oils will be blended with high quality base oil and applied to the skin through various massage techniques. When you inhale the essential oils in the air around you messages are transmitted to the limbic system, affecting your stress levels, breathing, and sometimes your memory and blood pressure. You will be leaving this massage smelling amazing and feeling great.
An Eastern Acupressure Facial Massage is a natural, non-invasive way of rejuvenating the skin on your face whilst encouraging healing throughout the body. This massage combines techniques from both Japanese and Ayurvedic traditions and is known as ‘The Natural Face Lift’. I will use healing strokes and massage movements to stimulate pressure points and relieve facial tension as well as incorporating acupressure, and a massage to alleviate neck tension. As well as encouraging younger looking skin the stimulation of facial meridians brings balance and makes this massage a truly holistic, whole-body experience.
Did you know that the ancient Chinese treatment of acupressure has been practiced and perfected for over 5000 years? In simple terms, it was discovered that by pressing certain points of the body, pain or disease were alleviated– and often in regions of the body remote from the pain or pressure point!
I will allow you to get comfortable on the massage table and then encourage you to relax and feel grounded using some deep breathing. Your neck is massaged first, which helps to encourage a deep state of relaxation and aid any release of tension.
The next stage is all about balancing the body, this is done by stroking the facial meridians and stimulating the pressure points. Next is a series of small but effective massage movements which may help to relieve facial tension, restore flexibility and increase the blood and oxygen supply to the skin and facial tissues. Finally, pulsing and stroking drainage movements are then used to help the removal of toxins.
Hot Stone Massage is a variation on classic massage therapy and one of the most enjoyable, relaxing therapeutic massages available. For hundreds of years the Hot Stones Massage has been used by many different cultures, modern day therapists apply the same techniques during this popular treatment. The heat from the stones warms and softens the muscles, encouraging the absorption of the essential oils and the relaxation of the muscles 4 - 5 times faster than using standard hand massage techniques.
During the hot stone massage I will place heated, smooth, flat basalt stones on key areas of the body. Along with the use of delicious fragrant essential oils, a second set of stones are then used to massage over the chosen areas. The heat from the stones allows me to perform a deeper more intense massage where required.
The Indian Head Massage is a traditional Indian technique of treating the upper back, neck, shoulders, scalp and face, using techniques based on an ancient Ayurvedic form of healing that dates back almost 5000 years. In Western society Indian Head Massage has been adapted to incorporate a mixture of traditional Indian and Western massage techniques. As well as being relaxing, it can also be an invigorating and refreshing experience. The recipient of the treatment will often report a ‘balanced’ feeling of peace and calm and will usually feel more alert and revitalised.
Treatment is carried out to the upper back, across the shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp and face whilst you are comfortably seated in a low back chair. Delightful fragrant oils are optional in an Indian Head Massage; if the treatment is performed without oils you can remain fully clothed although a light T-shirt would be recommended. If oil is preferred, upper clothing can be removed and a modesty towel provided. This massage will leave your body relaxed and encourage your brain to switch of from daily worries as you enjoy the sensations the Indian Head Massage offers.
Thai Foot Massage is an ancient holistic treatment dating back over 5000 years. Incorporating Eastern massage techniques, it draws on ancient healing philosophies of Meridian energy healing, to heal the mind, body and spirit. The relaxing treatment is known to improve sleep cycles, relax muscular tension and release endorphins! Perfect after a long day on your feet, or a night of dancing! The Thai Foot Massage uses gentle stretching and joint rotation movements to help restore mobility, vitality and energise the body.
You will be asked to lay on the couch, whilst remaining fully clothed, and be offered the option of choosing your own personalised blend of gorgeous essential oils; please attend wearing loose fitting lower body clothing. Thai Foot Massage involves hands on massage, stretching, joint rotation and acupressure to stimulate the reflex points. It will also include the use of a traditional Thai Foot Massage Stick as well as using the fingers, thumbs and knuckles to work on both feet and lower legs. I aim for you to leave walking on a deliciously relaxed pair of feet.

The Moroccan Sacred Candlelight Back Massage is a fabulous and healing experience. It begins with the client choosing and lighting their “sacred” handmade massage candle and thinking of a person or an area of their life that they would like blessed or be shown guidance towards, and so the intention is set. The chosen candle which will melt at a low temperature and become a luxury massage medium which can be safely poured onto the client’s back without the risk of burning the skin, will be representing of the North African “Guedra Blessing” – know to impart blessings and good energy to the community.
Indulge in a sensational aromatic experience, as the fragrance of the candle burns and fills the air, I will use a moisturising fair trade Moroccan black beldi soap, high in rich oleic acid and vitamin E, to cleanse your skin, then gently exfoliate using genuine “hammam spa” kessa mitts, which will not only encourage the removal of dead skin cells but also reduce toxins and increase circulation and blood flow, aiding new skin growth. After washing away, the soap with warm hand mitts, the melted massage candle is applied. Shea Butter has moisturising properties leaving skin silky smooth. It has also been proven to reduce inflammation.
As sweet almond oil has hypoallergenic properties it allows you to cleanse your skin, relieve eczema and keep your skin soft with less risk of an allergic reaction. It is also brilliant to relieve any lingering muscle aches you may have.
To create a single drop of Rose Otto oil it requires 60 roses! This makes this ingredient hard to come by and expensive to manufacture. However, the benefits of using this oil are priceless! It can help fight depression, reduce inflammation and is an anti-spasmodic.
“The Guedra is a night-time ritual, around a fire under the light of the moon or inside one of the larger tents by fire or candlelight. For this treatment, we focus on the light from a candle and use the traditional Djembe drum to represent the heartbeat in the bespoke music.” (Face The World)
A Back Facial is a relaxing skin treatment that is beneficial for both men and women, and often popular with teenagers. Not only does it help eliminate skin problems, it exfoliates and deeply cleanses a hard to reach area. The procedure is much the same as a regular Facial, although unlike the delicate skin on your face, your back is less sensitive, which is why I use specifically formulated products, that are tough enough to remove impurities but also made to hydrate and moisturise the skin. With a massage incorporated you will leave feeling refreshed and re-energized, looking, and feeling amazing.
This 60-minute treatment is begun with is a skin analysis, next a 'dry brushing' which may draw out any toxins and help remove dead skin cells. After a double deep cleanse and exfoliation to unclog pores, I will use a classic method to gently steam the skin. Next is a luxurious 15-minute massage, targeting problem areas and melting any tension away. A prescriptive mask will be applied, followed by extraction if required, and finally to end the treatment a toner and moisturiser will be applied to your now nourished and glowing skin.
