  • Aromatherapy Massage

    Aromatherapy Massage

    Placeholder Picture

    What is it?

Unlike a basic massage an Aromatherapy Massage has an alternative therapeutic technique. With the use of delicious smelling, natural and 100% pure essential oils your skin will be massaged and pampered. I offer a range of essential oils either extracted from flowers, herbs, plants or fruits, not only will they be absorbed through the skin during and after the massage but you will also benefit from the inhalation of the oil during the treatment. Each essential oil has different healing qualities, whilst some will calm, others will energise, we will discuss your personal requirements before the treatment.

    What can I expect?

The massage will be tailored to your individual requirements. As you lay relaxed and calm your chosen essential oils will be blended with high quality base oil and applied to the skin through various massage techniques. When you inhale the essential oils in the air around you messages are transmitted to the limbic system, affecting your stress levels, breathing, and sometimes your memory and blood pressure. You will be leaving this massage smelling amazing and feeling great.

    Potential benefits

    • You can expect enhanced feelings of relaxation and contentment
    • Possible relief from pain, e.g. headaches and back pain and from stress and tension
    • Promotes the release of endorphins, the body’s feel good hormones
    • Improved blood and lymph circulation
    • Increased energy levels and feeling of vitality
    • A general sense of health and well-being
    • Relieves insomnia
  • Eastern Acupressure Facial Massage

    Eastern Acupressure Facial Massage

    Placeholder Picture

    What is it?

An Eastern Acupressure Facial Massage is a natural, non-invasive way of rejuvenating the skin on your face whilst encouraging healing throughout the body. This massage combines techniques from both Japanese and Ayurvedic traditions and is known as ‘The Natural Face Lift’. I will use healing strokes and massage movements to stimulate pressure points and relieve facial tension as well as incorporating acupressure, and a massage to alleviate neck tension. As well as encouraging younger looking skin the stimulation of facial meridians brings balance and makes this massage a truly holistic, whole-body experience.

Did you know that the ancient Chinese treatment of acupressure has been practiced and perfected for over 5000 years? In simple terms, it was discovered that by pressing certain points of the body, pain or disease were alleviated – and often in regions of the body remote from the pain or pressure point!

    What can I expect?

I will allow you to get comfortable on the massage table and then encourage you to relax and feel grounded using some deep breathing. Your neck is massaged first, which helps to encourage a deep state of relaxation and aid any release of tension.

The next stage is all about balancing the body, this is done by stroking the facial meridians and stimulating the pressure points. Next is a series of small but effective massage movements which may help to relieve facial tension, restore flexibility and increase the blood and oxygen supply to the skin and facial tissues. Finally, pulsing and stroking drainage movements are then used to help the removal of toxins.

    Potential benefits

    • Enhance a feeling of well-being and promote total relaxation
    • Release stress and tension of the surrounding muscles
    • Lessen wrinkles and expression lines
    • Produce a positive, confident expression
    • Create a relaxed face and vibrant appearance
    • Tone and improve your complexion
    • Reduce eye swelling and redness
    • Promote better posture
  • Hot Stones Massage

    Hot Stones Massage

    What is it?

Hot Stone Massage is a variation on classic massage therapy and one of the most enjoyable, relaxing therapeutic massages available. For hundreds of years the Hot Stones Massage has been used by many different cultures, modern day therapists apply the same techniques during this popular treatment. The heat from the stones warms and softens the muscles, encouraging the absorption of the essential oils and the relaxation of the muscles 4 - 5 times faster than using standard hand massage techniques.

    What can I expect?

During the hot stone massage I will place heated, smooth, flat basalt stones on key areas of the body. Along with the use of delicious fragrant essential oils, a second set of stones are then used to massage over the chosen areas. The heat from the stones allows me to perform a deeper more intense massage where required.

    • Helps to improve circulation
    • Increased lymphatic drainage (toxin removal)

A Back Facial is a relaxing skin treatment that is beneficial for both men and women, and often popular with teenagers. Not only does it help eliminate skin problems, it exfoliates and deeply cleanses a hard to reach area. After a double deep cleanse and exfoliation to unclog pores, I will use a classic method to gently steam the skin. Next is a luxurious 15-minute massage, targeting problem areas and melting any tension away. A prescriptive mask will be applied, followed by extraction if required, and finally to end the treatment a toner and moisturiser will be applied to your now nourished and glowing skin.

    Potential benefits

    • Improves condition and vitality of the skin
    • Helps calm and prevent acne
    • Lymphatic drainage will work on puffiness of the face
